Weekly rate

A new way to have a car. The weekly rate covers the cost of the vehicle, insurance, and maintenance. This rate is determined by numerous factors, including but not limited to, the type of vehicle you select, your membership status, and market conditions. Currently, the weekly rate ranges from $70 to $200 a week.

 

Flexcar’s pricing is subject to change. In addition to Flexcar’s weekly rate, other fees and fines may apply. Learn more about Flexcar’s fees in the Subscriber Agreement and see below for additional details.

 

Mileage fee

As a Flexcar driver, there’s no limit on how far you can drive in your car. We offer a pay per mile plan. Your mileage fee will be reflected on your weekly receipt for the week after the mileage was accrued. Learn more about mileage.

 

Current Car preparation fees

  • Pick-up fee: Charged for each vehicle pick-up request
    • Non-Members: $50
    • Members: $25 (reflects a 50% discount)
  • Swap fee: Charged for each vehicle swap request
    • Non-Members: $50
    • Members: $25 (reflects a 50% discount)

We will not charge a swap fee when you swap your vehicle for maintenance or when we ask you to swap the vehicle.

 

Flexcar plan change or cancellation fee

There is no charge to cancel your Flexcar plan. However, if you fail to return your vehicle before your next billing cycle begins, you are responsible for the full amount of the upcoming weekly fee.We do not refund or prorate weekly fees if you return your vehicle mid-billing cycle. Market-specific fees and taxes

Depending on where you live, local fees, surcharges, and taxes may also be applied to your bill. Learn more about local taxes.

 

Flexcar fines

No one likes to talk about fines, but they do happen from time-to-time. Below is a non-exhaustive list of fines which may be incurred if Flexcar policies are violated.

  • Low gas: you are responsible for returning the vehicle with the same level of gas that was in the vehicle at the time of pick-up. If you return it with less than that level, you will be charged for the gas required to fill it up to that level plus a service fee.
  • Car key replacement: If you lose the key, the replacement fee is $75 plus costs of materials and labor
  • Tickets/violation processing: You are also responsible for paying any parking tickets and moving violations incurred during your Flexcar plan. If we receive a notice and process a violation, you will be charged a $30 processing fee
  • Damages: Up to $1,000 to cover vehicle damage costs. Learn more about damage here.
  • Cleaning: $50 per violation, plus costs incurred by Flexcar, if your car is requires excess cleaning as determined at the time the car is returned (examples include: condition of the car, smoking violation, pet hair)
