You can end your current Flexcar plan and return your vehicle at any time. Begin the return process from your [Flexcar account](https://www.flexcar.com/account?lid=zkl36z3t2xzm), then follow the steps below.

## How should I prepare my Flexcar vehicle for return?

Before dropping off your Flexcar vehicle:

1.  Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle.
    
2.  Return the vehicle in the same condition in which you received it. The vehicle should be clean and free of dirt, stains, trash, and odors.
    
3.  Refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level it had when you picked it up.
    

If the vehicle requires reconditioning, Flexcar will notify you and charge a fee to clean or repair the vehicle to the condition required under your Flexcar agreement. You may also be charged additional fees if the vehicle is not returned in the same condition in which you received it.

## What happens when I arrive at the return location?

A Member Concierge will greet you, inspect the vehicle, and complete the return.

## What happens to my Flexcar plan when I return the vehicle?

Your Flexcar plan will be set to close when you return the vehicle. Before ending your plan, keep the following information in mind:

*   Flexcar cannot provide a partial or full refund of fees incurred during the current billing cycle.
    
*   Any additional drivers on your account will also be closed when your Flexcar plan ends.
    
*   Any remaining account balance will be charged to your payment option on file when your Flexcar plan ends.
    
*   Tolls, other charges, and violations will be charged to your payment option on file after Flexcar receives them.
    

## Is there a fee for returning my Flexcar vehicle?

A small convenience fee may apply at some return locations. This fee supports the operational costs of providing more flexible drop-off options near you.

Additional cleaning or repair fees may apply if the vehicle is not returned in the same condition in which you received it.

## What happens to my annual Flexcar membership after I return the vehicle?

Your annual Flexcar membership remains active until its expiration date, even after your Flexcar plan ends.

If you do not plan to pick up another Flexcar vehicle, you can disable auto-renew from your [Flexcar account](https://www.flexcar.com/account?lid=zkl36z3t2xzm). _You cannot disable auto-renew until after you return the vehicle._ If you do not disable auto-renew, your annual membership will renew automatically.
